Fallout 4 Power Armor Retextures (Substance Designer)
All credit for the meshes and normal maps to whomever at Bethesda made them. I was only responsible for the other textures (Albedo, Glossiness, Reflectivity) in these images.
I've been messing around a lot with Substance Designer lately, but I realized that pretty much all I'd been using it for was tiling materials. So I decided to put it to work retexturing some of the fantastic Power Armor models from Fallout 4!
It was a excellent learning experience for me on the best ways to approach different shapes and how to make procedural materials that play nicely with many different base surfaces. Strict PBR reflectivity values didn't work very well in-engine, so I had to fudge the spec maps a little in order to get it to look correct.
Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. Everything except for decals etc done in Substance Designer.
